Hops Harvest at Crux (due to smoke, canceled indefinitely)
September 16, 2020 @ 7:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeCrux Fermentation Project needs our help picking their parking lot hops. Let’s gather as volunteers— Angels, friends, and family– and give back to our wonderful beer community.
The work is outdoors, which makes physical distancing guidelines much easier to follow.
Please bring a mask, in case it’s needed.
If you stick around until the end, you can help throw the hops into the hopback for Off the Fence, Crux’s fresh hop pale ale that’s brewed every year with the Cascade hops we’ll pick “off the fence” in their parking lot. Every time you drink a pint of this beer, you’ll know you contributed to its creation in a small but important way.
Let’s review the perks, shall we?
1. Your fingers will smell soooooooo good.
2. You get to bask in Bend’s famous September sunshine.
3. Crux is providing coffee and donuts to keep us fueled.
4. Enjoy a beer at the end.
5. Know that you made a difference.
NOTE: If you volunteer to help out, please commit and make serious plans to attend. Many hands make light work. This event is open so bring your favorite people and pick hops for as long as you want.
