Ever wonder why Belgian beer styles have banana and clove flavors? Or why beer has a “best buy date”? Come and join the Beer Angels as “Amanda”, Deschutes’ sensory expert takes you through an Educational experience all about Beer Sensory Analysis.

Enjoy the evening while learning proper beer tasting techniques, ‘on’ and ‘off’ flavors in beer and why these flavors appear in your beer at all. Improve your understanding and appreciation of how complex & nuanced the various hop varietals, malts & yeast contribute to your favorite beers. Join us & you will learn how to properly examine and enjoy beer, starting with visual presentation, then assessing the aromas, and finally appreciating the flavors with samples.

WHERE:

The event will be held at the Deschutes Brewery Mountain Room, above the tasting room.

WHEN:

On September 7th, from 5pm-7:30pm.  NOTE: The first thirty minutes will allow time for Members to grab a Pint (included) and make their way up to the event for a little socializing.

Try-on Swag Opportunity:  For those of you interested in wearing Beer Angel-branded clothing during our exclusive events— We will have various items on-hand for you to review, try-on and purchase during the Social time BEFORE the educational event starts.  It’s fun to show up ‘in force’ and creates a lot of interest when we are together. We will be taking orders this night so bring your credit cards to make it quick and easy. Delivery times are TBD, but typically take about 2-3 weeks as they will be custom-made for us!

•  All Sample/Sensory Brews
•  Class Materials/Guidelines
