Once again, our good friends at Pine Mountain Sports have offered us free snowshoe rentals on Feb 22 for our annual Snow Shoe Adventure!
Once again, our good friends at Pine Mountain Sports have offered us free snowshoe rentals on Feb 22 for our annual Snow Shoe Adventure! If you’ve never snowshoed with the Beer Angels, you are in for a special treat. This is a super fun event that we look forward to each year. This is a great way to meet new friends, get some exercise and share/try a few new beers that our fellow Angels enjoy.
Meet Location: Caddy corner from Pine Mountain Sports (PMS) (Simpson and 14th street)— we willgather in the westside of Safeway’s parking lot – near ‘Life & Time’) If you’d like to carpool up to Meissner Snow Park, ask around to find a seat in another Angel’s car.
Depart Time: We plan to leave at 5:30. Don’t be late. If you need snowshoes, be sure to arrange to pickup your Snowshoe Rentals at PMS ahead of time.
Destination: Meissner Snow Park on Century Dr on the way to Mt Bachelor.
Our Trek: Our adventure is 1.5 miles out to the “shelter”. Our lovely beer fairies will be marking the trail with Crowlers along the way! If you want to partake in the Crowler sharing, please bring your own reusable cup. We will be taking breaks along the way to enjoy these Sips together.
Gear to Bring: Bring your own reusable cup, headlamp, snowshoes, PLUS beers and snacks to share once we arrive at the shelter. If there isn’t any snow, just wear some good hiking boots. NOTE: if no snow and temps stay warm, it could be muddy.
Our goal is to be back to Bend by 8:30pm.
This event is Free, but please RSVP so we know you’re coming! We need to give Pine Mountain Sports a rough estimate of snow shoe rentals needed, so they can set them aside for us.
