How do *you* paddle?
Join us for a fun evening on the water! We’ll be paddling around, enjoying an evening together with good company, good beer PLUS a full moon as well!
Don’t have a boat (SUP, kayak or canoe)? No problem!
We’re organizing a list of people who have boats you can borrow, and we’ll arrange car pooling to assure that everyone who wants to participate can join us. When you sign up, please indicate if you have a boat: which kind, and/or if you have one you can loan out for the evening to a fellow member. Coordinating this event is tricky, so please provide as much info as you can to help us with logistics to keep this event cost-effective and trouble-free.
Date: Tuesday, August 20. (it’s months out— so SAVE the DATE on your calendars now!)
Time: Meet up at 5:30 pm in Bend (exact locale still TBD)
Paddle Location: Little Lava Lake– just past Hosmer on Cascade Lakes Hwy (see directions below)
After the paddle, for those who want to stay for a campfire, s’mores, s’more beer, and even Camping over night, we have reserved the Group Campsite location near the boat ramp.
Let us know in your Sign-up reservation if you intend to camp! The group site allows for 12 campers. (Campers Note: you will need to provide your own camping gear!)
What to Bring: Aside from your paddling rig, be sure to pack a couple of safety items. PFDs (personal flotation devices) and whistles are required. Feel free to bring any additional snacks or beer. It cools down after sunset so bring extra clothes/dry shoes to keep warm.
For those staying for the Apré Paddle, bring s’more makin’s plus a marshmallow roasting skewer if you have one. We will have firewood, but if you have some to share, please bring it.
Campers! Please provide your own gear to survive the night!
Cost: $17 will cover some beer and snacks for the evening— including the campfire site reservation.

Directions to Little Lava Lake: From Bend, travel 38.4 miles southwest on Cascade Lakes Hwy (46), then 0.7 miles east on Forest Road 4600 500, and then 0.4 miles east on Forest Road 4600 520.
